ECOMONDO 2024

An edition focused on ecology and the circular economy

From November 5 to 8, 2024, the seventeenth edition of “Ecomondo” will be held at the Rimini Exhibition Center. This year, the event “The green technology expo” presents and encourages green and circular economies, thanks to models of production and consumption that involve sharing, lending, reusing, repairing, refurbishing, and recycling materials and products that last as long as possible. It also supports the implementation of projects presented in the PNRR and the restoration and ecological regeneration of soils and the hydrosphere of coasts and cities. Among the central events of this edition, the management and mitigation of landslide risk, coastal resilience and adaptation to climate change stand out, as well as sustainability in visual communication and Interior Design, the management of textile waste and pollution from Fast Fashion, the short supply chain of organic products in Italy and foreign markets, good practices for the disposal of battery and packaging waste, and zero environmental impact construction.

Meeting and comparison among the major players in the sector

We are therefore facing an international fair that is a reference point in Europe and the Mediterranean basin for technologies, services, and industrial solutions aimed at an ecosystem of ecological transition, providing a meeting point and comparison among industries, investors, authorities, and industry leaders, all within the development of the European Union’s environmental policy strategies. Professor Fabio Fava will coordinate scientists, technicians, managers, and representatives of national and European institutions, associations, consortia, and agencies. The fair is therefore an opportunity to learn about the latest news, acquire data on regulatory principles and development opportunities, meet many of the players in the “Green & circular economy” sector, and forge new partnerships and business relationships.

Evolution of the “PlasticLess” program

Ecomondo has also joined the Lifegate project of the Water Defender Alliance, which for over 20 years has promoted a more responsible attitude towards the planet and people through lifestyles, production, and consumption via research activities and technologically advanced devices; such as the Trash Collec’thor, installed in November 2023 at the Rimini marina, which captures floating waste such as plastics and microplastics. In short, if you want to carry out an activity that starts from an innovative and sustainable idea, Ecomondo is the starting point and, why not, the endpoint.
